1867 Comptoir National d’Escompte de Paris opens Yokohama Branch Office (-1877).
1907 Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas (the future Paribas) participates in arranging Japanese government bonds in Europe.
1968 Banque Nationale de Paris opens the Tokyo Representative Office. Status upgraded to Branch Office in 1973.
1973 Compagnie Financière de Paris et des Pays-Bas becomes first European company to list on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (-1982 as name changed).
2000 Following the creation of the BNP Paribas Group in 2000, BNP Paribas Securities (Japan) Limited, Tokyo Branch, and BNP Paribas Asset Management Japan Ltd were founded.
2010 The combined entity renamed BNP Paribas Investment Partners Japan Ltd.
2011 BNP Paribas Securities (Japan) Limited, Tokyo Branch incorporated as a Japanese company, BNP Paribas Securities (Japan) Limited.
2017 BNP Paribas Investment Partners Japan Ltd. changes company name to BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Japan Limited.
