BNP Paribas Securities expands its Equity Research Team in Japan with the appointment of Auto and Bank analysts

May 18, 2011 Tokyo — BNP Paribas Securities (Japan) Limited today announced that Koichi Sugimoto, Auto analyst and Toyoki Sameshima, Bank analyst have joined the firm, effective May 16 and May 18 respectively.

Both analysts are well established in their respective sectors and will be instrumental in BNP Paribas’ efforts to expand Equity Research coverage in Japan.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Mr. Sugimoto began his career at Nomura Securities Group in 1994 and became a director and senior analyst at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities in 2006. Mr. Sugimoto has 17 years experience as an Auto analyst and graduated from Kyoto University in 1994.

Toyoki Sameshima was previously a Bank analyst at Goldman Sachs Securities from 2008 and prior to that he was at Morgan Stanley Securities and Nikko Salomon Smith Barney Securities. Mr. Sameshima graduated Columbia Business School in 1995.
