BNP Paribas Tokyo Branch announces management changes Masayuki Imai appointed as General Manager

Tokyo, Japan — 1 March 2012 — BNP Paribas, Tokyo Branch today announced the appointment of Masayuki Imai as General Manager and Tatsuhisa Ishikawa in the newly established position of Deputy General Manager, effective March 12.

Mr. Imai has been with the BNP Paribas Group since 1995 after joining Banque Paribas from the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), Tokyo Branch in 1995. He was appointed as Head of Coverage for BNP Paribas, Tokyo Branch in 2006 after holding senior positions in corporate banking, product development and investment banking. He will take responsibility for the overall activities of the Branch while continuing to be in charge of Corporate Coverage. Mr. Imai is a graduate of Aoyama Gakuin University in 1987.

Tatsuhisa Ishikawa, joined Banque Nationale de Paris in 1981 after graduating from Waseda University. His career has focused on Foreign Exchange and Treasury and he has been Treasurer of the Tokyo Branch since 2002. In his capacity as Deputy General Manager, he will supervise the capital markets activities of the Branch and support Mr. Imai in risk management and internal controls.

Yannick Jung, current General Manager of the Tokyo Branch, will relocate to Paris in April following five years in Japan.

In addition to these appointments, Philppe Avril, CEO and Representative Director of BNP Paribas Securities (Japan) Limited, will supervise the Tokyo Branch as Chief Country Officer.
