BNP Paribas Supports TAP JAPAN OPEN 2025 debut in Japan
As a special sponsor, we are delighted to extend our commitment to ‘TAP JAPAN OPEN 2025’, the first Para Standing Tennis World Championship tournament in the Asia region hosted by Japan Adaptive Stand-up Tennis Association (JASTA). Our employees also participated in the tournament as volunteers.
TAP is an abbreviation for Tennis Adaptado de Pie in Spanish. Enzo Amadei Jarez from Chile founded the TAP Foundation in 2013.
Para Standing Tennis is one of the options for tennis players with physical disabilities. Imagine if you had a difficulty on your hand or arm, it would be impossible to operate a wheelchair while holding a racket at the same time. Para Standing Tennis provides options for those who have needs and support them to play tennis the way they want to play it.
35 players from North America, Latin America and Oceania in addition to Japan competed in the first international tournament in Asia.
A loyal and long-standing partner of world tennis since 1973, BNP Paribas continues to support the sport in all its forms.
