Position: Delta One Trader – BNP Paribas Tokyo
Candidate Profile

Role Overview & Core Responsibilities
- Trading & Execution: Execute day-to-day forward trading on Japanese equities and derivatives.
- Market Pricing: Price Delta One products in response to requests from Sales and Marketers regarding Japanese equities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Sales, internal clients, and the inter-dealer market.
- Market Intelligence: Provide market color and insights to Sales and other internal teams to drive business activity and development.
- Product Maintenance: Manage repo and dividends for all Japanese equities.
- Operational Inquiry Handling: Manage all forward-related inquiries from Front, Middle, and Back Office teams.
- Systems Optimization: Partner with IT to seek improved positioning capabilities and P&L management tools.
- Business Development: Contribute new ideas and innovations to support new business development.
Risk & Compliance Mandates
- Risk Monitoring: Monitor all Delta One-related risks, with a specific focus on Dividends, Repo, Rho, and Delta.
- Regulatory Adherence: Strictly follow all local legal and compliance regulations.
- Incident Reporting: Proactively inform management of any operational risk incidents and ensure they are recorded.
- Real-time Risk Communication: Proactively notify management of any major risks or significant P&L impacts during trading hours.
- Operational Safety: Ensure the trading environment is operationally safe; report any deficiencies to management and propose setup improvements.
- Efficiency Drive: Continuously push to make the trading environment more efficient and robust.
Skills
- P&L & Risk Oversight: Responsible for accurate marking, risk monitoring, and P&L management.
- Operational Rigor: Ensure correct marking of dividends and repo; ensure no risk limit excesses.
- Systems Robustness: Liaise with relevant teams to improve tools and secure the trading setup.
- Programming & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and eager to develop programming skills.
