What is this position about?

The overall responsibility of Compensation & Benefits team is to manage an organization’s compensation and rewards program. Because compensation and benefits programs are designed to attract top talent and retain valued employees, the work of HR professionals is a crucial one within a company’s HR Department.

HR Operations Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operations for C&B programs and payroll, including social insurance processing and other employee benefit related matters such as company housing program, leave management, health care management etc. 
Also, this position supports employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding process, payroll activities such as Year-end Tax adjustment, group insurance renewal process.

Primary Role Responsibilities

HR Operations

•    Respond to queries and requests related to C&B programs and policies from employees such as process and procedures on various types of leaves as well as any report requested.
•    Manage Medical and Health activities including Hygiene Committee, Company Doctor Health Counselling arrangement and logistics relating to medical check-up, stress check and flu shot.
•    Support vendor managements for contract and employee data renewals and related reporting.
•    Handle inquiries to support beneficiaries of group discounted share purchase program including former employees in liaison with Paris Team.
•    Process employee records and personal data retention management based on the legal and internal guidelines.
•    Review operation workflow and procedure where required and operate efficiently.

Other contributions

•    Support monthly payroll process working with payroll vendor to process monthly changes (new joiner, personal information updates) in the vendor’s system.
•    Arrange congratulatory and condolence payments and coordination as per policy.
•    Support in preparing monthly payroll data and regulatory reporting to meet internal/external requirements.

Specific Qualifications

•    Minimum of 5 yrs. of experience in HR Operations, with good understanding of payroll and C&B processes
•    Understanding basic principles of payroll and social insurances
•    Detail oriented
•    Good teamwork sprit, adaptable, flexible, able to handle multiple tasks and is a solution deliver
•    Able to work well under pressure and collaborative mindset
•    Strong communication skills
•    Fluency in Japanese and business level in English (written and spoken) 
•    Proficient to MS office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
•    Accounting experience is preferred
